A Collection of Vietnamese Ao Dai

Designer Vu Viet Ha has lauched a gripping selection of ao dai. A wide range of well-known models joined the fashion event. Also, ao dai runner-up Kim Duyen walked on the catwalk as a leader role in Vu Viet Ha's Ao Dai collection in Dubai.

Kim Duyen gracefully walked on the catwalk with an Ao Dai model inspired by the shape of the 1930s, reminiscent of the image of an old shirt. The thin skirts are stacked on top of each other, creating a hidden color effect on the delicate ao dai.

Another model Ha Thu presented one of the collection. The design consists of a plain green silk Ao Dai and a pink lotus-like robe that gives her a striking look. Vu Viet Ha puts a lot of energy into the delicate embroidery on the ao dai and shawl.

The designer said that the embroideries in his 'dream' collection this time are images of Vietnam's scenic spots, national heritage recognized by the world. Besides, he also describes the working moments, daily activities of the Vietnamese people.

On the background of ao dai woven from silk yarn in the way of the Mong people in Quan Ba - Ha Giang, traditional artisans in Hanoi hand-stitched and meticulously embroidered for a whole year to complete.

The color palette of the designs is very diverse, from low-key tones such as brown and beige to vibrant tones such as red and pink with advanced dyeing techniques. Through the collection, Vu Viet Ha wants to share the image of a charming traditional Vietnamese girl full of tenderness and elegance, honoring the beauty of her homeland to introduce to international friends.

Miss Globe 2017 Khanh Ngan took on the role of closing the curtain with a hand-embroidered ao dai model combined with a sophisticated gown. The designer creates accents in embroidered details and tassels to create a classic look mixed with modern beauty.

Art show 'The Eternal Flow' under the framework of EXPO World Exhibition took place in Dubai, UAE.

Ban VIet Lake

Photographic author Hoang Duong captured the fantastic red leaf season at Ban Viet lake during his trip to Trung Khanh District, Cao Bang Province, in December.

He said he had been to Cao Bang many times and the main purpose of this trip was to "hunt" photos of the foliage season. He traveled by self-driving car at 2 a.m. and arrived in Ban Viet lake at 7:30 a.m.

Here he used the rafting service to visit the lake. When the sun gradually rises, a trail of maple trees is brilliantly orange-red, and the clear blue lake reflects the clouds and sky. He seems to be captivated by this pristine landscape and exclaims that the Vietnamese landscape is so beautiful and gripping.

The maple leaf changing season of Chongqing will take place from December to January, the most beautiful place to see the scenery is Ban Viet lake. It offers a wonderful chance to take photos or do selfies as many as you will see.

Cao Bang Province provides several points of historical interest as well as many natural features such as the Pác Bó (at the mouth of the confluence of two rivers, the Bằng Giang and Hien rivers). Also, you can explore Coc Bo cave, the Mac emperor's Temple, the Ky Sam Temple, Coi Bin Church, the Ban Gioc waterfall area at the international border between Vietnam and China, and the Thang Hen Mountain Lake.

Dalat in Cherry Season

After more than half a month of cold weather with a drastic change in temperature, cherry apricots have bloomed all over Da Lat City. Cherry apricot represents the coming spring in Da Lat and surrounding areas with the same altitude and the same climate zone.

When this flower blooms, it means that the weather is at its best: golden sunshine, long sunshine time compared to before, dry weather; but it is also the most extreme time: the temperature range is large (the temperature in the early morning is very different from that from noon to evening).

Usually, cherry apricot blossoms begin from the outskirts of Da Lat, the Lac Duong area - where the temperature is higher and the temperature amplitude is larger than Da Lat, then to the inner city. However, this year the cherry blossoms are blooming from the suburbs to the inner city.

The old trees have begun to bloom. The small-stemmed cherry apricot trees have shed their leaves and are ready to bloom. Compared to the previous year, this year's cherry apricot blossomed 2 weeks earlier.

Many tourists who love cherry apricots but do not plan to come to Da Lat for Christmas and New Year are surprised to hear that this flower has bloomed. Many people said that they are arranging their time to go to Da Lat to take pictures or do selfies and watch flowers.

People who have lived in Da Lat for many years said that the cherry apricot has just begun to bloom and will bloom in the following 2 weeks, after blooming, the flowers will begin to fade, in 2 weeks and stop a short time later.

However, this statement is only true if in the following month it is still sunny and cold. If it turns to rain, the flower season will end about a week after the rain. When the flowering season ends, the apricot cherry blossoms will produce young leaves, and the apricot fruit will replace the previous brilliant flowers.

At this time, the foothills of Langbiang mountain (Lat commune, Lac Duong District), Da Nhim commune (Lac Duong district) and Cau Dat area are the places with the most beautiful cherry blossoms. In the inner city of Da Lat, flowers have only bloomed sporadically on many old trees, but the small trees have just shed their leaves and started to bud.

A Selection of Ao Dai

Tet Holiday 2022 is one of the first Tet ao dai collections announced on the occasion of the new year 2022, offering young people plentiful choices of new trends and designs.

Designer Ha Thanh Viet said that he took the idea of the traditional Ao Dai and combined it with a modern style that suits the needs and tastes of young people today. "Although the Ao Dai models feature the youth and dynamics, I do not forget to convey messages and images of cultural value to highlight them to the public near and far," emphasized Ha Thanh Viet.

The main materials used in this collection are taffeta and organza fabrics. The main colors include white, pastel blue and pastel pink. These are cheerful colors that bring good luck to the wearer for the New Year.

Although using materials that experts consider to be prone to roughness, through the way of cutting and handling the shape, Ha Thanh Viet has created soft costumes to enhance the beauty and charmfulness of the Vietnamese. The designs are highly applicable, suitable for many New Year activities such as visiting grandparents, meeting friends, spring travel...

Suoi Vang Dam

Golden sunshine reflects on the area of Suoi Vang Dam (or Ankroet Dam), surrounded by pine forest in Lac Duong district, about 15 km from Da Lat.

This dam, built of split stone, 97 m long, 10 m high, is an indispensable attraction in the journey to discover Dan Kia - Suoi Vang valley.

Visitors choose Da Lat as a place to visit, relax and enjoy the fresh, cold air. But now Da Lat is losing its green areas, from illegal exploitation of forest resources, and the cold in the plateau is also losing its specificity.

When the city became crowded, some chose to go further to the suburbs to photograph the white misty plateau.

Than Tho Lake in Dalat

A herd of gallant horses is grazing under the rays of the sun through the green pine trees at Than Tho Lake.

Golf Course Cu Hill

Dalat is in middle of Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, all non-essential services have to be closed down. In such a situation, the golf course next to Xuan Huong lake, with a view of Da Lat PEdagogical College in the distance is deserted.

Photos of the mountain town shows that Da Lat has less and less "green areas" when many buildings, restaurants, and hotels are in shade, and the city becomes more crowded. A regret for Dalat lovers.

Nam Cang - a Peaceful Sapa

At present, the Covid 19 pandemic has had the worst hit on Vietnam. Many localities have imposed the lockdown that has influenced upon the life of people.

Now, let's take a visual tour to Nam Cang, a peaceful Sapa, Vietnam to appease our boredom of isolation.

Take the bus to Nam Cang on Friday night, spend the night in a house on stilts by the stream and trek. When Hanoi was in the midst of a long heat wave in July, our group took our backpacks to pick up the car to Nam Cang commune - the name is still unfamiliar to many people even though this place is only about 30 km from the center of Sa Pa.

In the local language, Nam Cang means watershed. This place is also the source of 3 big streams, Nam Cang, Nam Pa and Nam Thang deep in Hoang Lien Son National Park. As the last land in the southeast of Sa Pa district, the rhythm of life in the villages here is somewhat quieter and more peaceful.

Nam Cang is almost isolated by the remote and bumpy road, although it is not far from the mountain town, it still retains its wild character. After about 5 hours of traveling in the morning, the group got off the bus and walked into a house on stilts in the Red Dao village.

Instead of the "hello" and footsteps following guests like in Sa Pa, the children of Nam Cang welcomed us with crispy smiles on the way home from school, they were both playful and shy playing in the water by the stream. .

From afar, only hearing the murmuring stream mixed with the sound of children playing, we felt all fatigue after a long journey. Stopping at the end of the village, we stayed at Topas Riverside Lodge, an isolated stilt house seats next to a large stream that everyone has to step over a swaying suspension bridge.

This place belongs to That Son region - seven mountains in the Southwest Delta, in the territory of two districts of Tri Ton and Tinh Bien.
