Golf Course Cu Hill

Dalat is in middle of Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, all non-essential services have to be closed down. In such a situation, the golf course next to Xuan Huong lake, with a view of Da Lat PEdagogical College in the distance is deserted.

Photos of the mountain town shows that Da Lat has less and less "green areas" when many buildings, restaurants, and hotels are in shade, and the city becomes more crowded. A regret for Dalat lovers.

Nam Cang - a Peaceful Sapa

At present, the Covid 19 pandemic has had the worst hit on Vietnam. Many localities have imposed the lockdown that has influenced upon the life of people.

Now, let's take a visual tour to Nam Cang, a peaceful Sapa, Vietnam to appease our boredom of isolation.

Take the bus to Nam Cang on Friday night, spend the night in a house on stilts by the stream and trek. When Hanoi was in the midst of a long heat wave in July, our group took our backpacks to pick up the car to Nam Cang commune - the name is still unfamiliar to many people even though this place is only about 30 km from the center of Sa Pa.

In the local language, Nam Cang means watershed. This place is also the source of 3 big streams, Nam Cang, Nam Pa and Nam Thang deep in Hoang Lien Son National Park. As the last land in the southeast of Sa Pa district, the rhythm of life in the villages here is somewhat quieter and more peaceful.

Nam Cang is almost isolated by the remote and bumpy road, although it is not far from the mountain town, it still retains its wild character. After about 5 hours of traveling in the morning, the group got off the bus and walked into a house on stilts in the Red Dao village.

Instead of the "hello" and footsteps following guests like in Sa Pa, the children of Nam Cang welcomed us with crispy smiles on the way home from school, they were both playful and shy playing in the water by the stream. .

From afar, only hearing the murmuring stream mixed with the sound of children playing, we felt all fatigue after a long journey. Stopping at the end of the village, we stayed at Topas Riverside Lodge, an isolated stilt house seats next to a large stream that everyone has to step over a swaying suspension bridge.

Waking up in the beautiful sunny area of Phu Yen

Upon arrival of Phu Yen, you will find sunshine in the land of Phu Yen very poetic, especially at the beginning of the day and at about 15-16 o'clock.

This locality has the destination of Mui Dien which is the place to receive the first rays of sunshine on the mainland of Vietnam.

Phu Yen did not appear on the tourist map until many people came to it after the movie "I see yellow flowers on green grass". ". The natural scenery of Phu Yen is simple and beautiful, the locals are kind, and the food is delicious.

Since tourism has not really developed, many areas in this province still have primitive features, infrastructure and accommodation do not have many facilities. But this is the attraction for those who like natural beauty, having not yet explored and "destroyed" by humans, carrying backpacks to come here.

Isolated resort attracting tourists during covid-19 pademic

Resorts which nest in the middle of the forest or separate from residential areas attract families, couples on weekends.

Quynh Trang (Hanoi) said she booked a room at a resort in Ba Vi for the weekend of May 28-29 but was full. She contacted some other points in Soc Son, Hoa Binh also received the same answer or they stop to welcome guests to prevent and control Covid-19. Therefore, she had to cancel the trip because she could not find a satisfactory room.

Ms. Trang said she wants to go with her family to isolated resorts to rest, especially for her children to have an activity space when Hanoi currently stops all fun activities and her children have to stay at home. The resorts she prefers to choose are in or near Hanoi to travel by a car. In addition, these places have private villas, surrounded by many trees, open space, ensuring safety.

Khanh Quynh, a seller of travel combos, said the demand for weekend vacations among tourists in late May and early June was not too high due to the impact of Covid-19. However, high-class resorts with open space near Hanoi such as Ba Vi, Mai Chau (Hoa Binh), Uong Bi (Quang Ninh) ... are still very interesting. Most of these resorts are full at weekends, partly because they do not serve at full capacity to ensure anti-epidemic distance. On the other hand, the demand of people in Hanoi is still quite large. Therefore, visitors in need should book the service early to avoid the out-of-room situation.

According to the representative of Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat, in the second half of May, the number of guests booking rooms at the resort tended to increase compared to the time when the epidemic broke out after the holiday April 30 to May 1. Specifically, in the last 2 days of the week, the room capacity at the resort reached more than 60%. Up to now, the resort's occupancy rate in June has reached 50%, even though room rates are higher. The representative said, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, visitors to the resort are mainly families; Group guests and MICE tours are almost nonexistent. There are many families who book a private villa to stay for the whole week. Customers also tend to book services close to the departure date, so the occupancy rate can reach 60-70% in the following month.

Carpet of hydrangeas on the top of Mau Son Hill

Hydrangeas in Mau Son Hill appeared around the beginning of the 20th century, when the French came here to build resorts and plant them around the garden. Since 2011, the locality has replicated this species to create a highlight for the tourist area.

Flowers are commonly grown in restaurants, hotels, and in front of people's houses for decoration. Mau Son Hydrangea has the dominant blue color. This flower can change color during bloom, depending on the alkalinity of the soil, when blooming, it usually turns blue, turquoise, pink, purple.

In addition to the blue flowers, there are also blue purple, pink purple and white flowers. Young people often choose costumes corresponding to the color of flowers to take more eye-catching photos. The flower tree is as tall as an adult body, planted in the sloping terrain of the mountainside, from the outside looking like a flower wall.

Visitors can step in between flower beds, but be careful not to break flowers. Some motels and hotels located in the middle of the pine forest with flower gardens also welcome guests to take photos, charging 10,000 VND/person.

The campus of Mau Son tourist area covers an area of nearly 15,000 hectares. Most of the hotels and restaurants today are built on the foundation of old French villas. In addition to the flower gardens, visitors can take a walk to visit some surviving villas and castles containing wine cellars at the resort.

Besides, the Dao Khuoi Level, Khuoi Tang, Long Dau streams, and Mau Son ancient spiritual land are some famous destinations that attract tourists during this trip to the northern cloudy country. If you have time to linger here, from about 4 pm, visitors have the opportunity to watch the romantic scene of the hydrangea garden in the sunset.

The motels, hotels in the tourist area welcome overnight guests for 250,000 - 350,000 VND room. The road to Mau Son tourist area often appears cloudy even in the middle of the day, if lucky, visitors can also admire the sea of clouds. In the summer, the more the afternoon the temperature on the mountain drops below 25 degrees Celsius, visitors should prepare appropriate clothes.

Đường lên khu du lịch Mẫu Sơn thường xuất hiện mây mù kể cả giữa ban ngày, nếu may mắn du khách còn được chiêm ngưỡng biển mây. Mùa hè, càng về chiều nhiệt độ trên núi giảm dưới 25 độ C, du khách cần chú ý chuẩn bị trang phục phù hợp.

Land of "Yellow Flowers on Grass"

Phu Yen Island

There is a special place in Phu Yen, known as "yellow flowers on green grass" where you can make a way to walk from the mainland to the islet, experiencing the walking path across the ocean to the island.

Walking on the floating path in the middle of the sea, you feel an extremely interesting experience. Nhat Tu Son Island is a beautiful one of Phu Yen, suitable for wild experiences combined with relaxation.

Nhat Tu Son Island is located in Xuan Dai Bay, about 300m from the mainland, in Xuan Thanh Ward, Song Cau Town, Phu Yen Province. With the shape of the word "most" in Chinese characters, it looks like a character drawn by nature in the middle of the blue sea, so the island has a special name: Nhat Tu Son.

The island is covered with trees, mostly rosewood and vines that grow on the island. With a total island area of about 6 hectares, this is an ideal habitat for birds and animals in the Xuan Dai Bay ecosystem.

During Tet holidays, the peak tourist season, the number of tourists coming to explore and visit Nhat Tu Son island is very crowded. Coming to the land of 'yellow flowers on green grass', do you want to step on the magical sea-crossing path?

Going around the island, you will encounter rocks of all shapes and sizes, many unique and strange shapes. Some small caves go deep into the heart of the island such as Am Phu Cave, Bat Cave, Buddha Cave... you can light a torch or use a flashlight to explore like a  movie about Hollywood adventure

The walking path through the sea, connecting the island and the mainland. On low tide days, from Nhat Tu Son island, a white sand road connects to the mainland, about 300m long. Xuan Dai Bay is surrounded by mountains, so when the waves rush in and bounce back, the two waves meet to create the phenomenon of double waves.

Over time, sand dunes form, low tide can walk across the sea. According to the experience of local people in this area, to calculate the low tide showing the walking path across the island, you must rely on the lunar calendar: From the beginning of the month to the full moon day (lunar calendar) you should go in the afternoon, about 13:00 to 16:00. From the 16th to the end of the lunar month, you should go early in the morning to midday, around 5am to 9am.

At this time, the road appears below sea level, visitors can walk easily, if it is shallower, you can ride a bicycle across the island.
