Designer Vu Viet Ha has lauched a gripping selection of ao dai. A wide range of well-known models joined the fashion event. Also, ao dai runner-up Kim Duyen walked on the catwalk as a leader role in Vu Viet Ha's Ao Dai collection in Dubai.
Kim Duyen gracefully walked on the catwalk with an Ao Dai model inspired by the shape of the 1930s, reminiscent of the image of an old shirt. The thin skirts are stacked on top of each other, creating a hidden color effect on the delicate ao dai.
Another model Ha Thu presented one of the collection. The design consists of a plain green silk Ao Dai and a pink lotus-like robe that gives her a striking look. Vu Viet Ha puts a lot of energy into the delicate embroidery on the ao dai and shawl.
The designer said that the embroideries in his 'dream' collection this time are images of Vietnam's scenic spots, national heritage recognized by the world. Besides, he also describes the working moments, daily activities of the Vietnamese people.
On the background of ao dai woven from silk yarn in the way of the Mong people in Quan Ba - Ha Giang, traditional artisans in Hanoi hand-stitched and meticulously embroidered for a whole year to complete.
The color palette of the designs is very diverse, from low-key tones such as brown and beige to vibrant tones such as red and pink with advanced dyeing techniques. Through the collection, Vu Viet Ha wants to share the image of a charming traditional Vietnamese girl full of tenderness and elegance, honoring the beauty of her homeland to introduce to international friends.
Miss Globe 2017 Khanh Ngan took on the role of closing the curtain with a hand-embroidered ao dai model combined with a sophisticated gown. The designer creates accents in embroidered details and tassels to create a classic look mixed with modern beauty.
