Hoa Binh Lake
Hoa Binh Lake came in shape after damming the Da River to build Hoa Binh hydropower plant. This is one of the largest artificial reservoirs in Vietnam, with a length of 230 km, extending from Hoa Binh to Son La.
The volume of the lake is about 9.45 billion m3. The lake's clear blue water nests in the middle of high rocky mountains, with diverse and rich vegetation, many large and small islands, which look like Ha Long Bay on land.
However, Hoa Binh Lake still has a distinct beauty, attracting tourists because the landscape still retains its wild features. Along the lake, there are many villages and hamlets of the Muong, Tay, Thai, and Dao people, with traditional old stilt houses and cultural practices full of national identities.
A special thing here, you do not only enjoy the majestic and poetic beauty of nature, but also experience the model of community tourism developing livelihoods for ethnic minorities with many villages. at the lakeside.
Sticky rice on stilts, the sound of gongs, Xoe dances, cuisine or traditional agricultural production methods of ethnic minorities create a special attraction for tourists in Hoa Binh Lake.
