Durian Coffee |
According to Radio CNA, cafe Ms Durian is a small shop whose coffee and pastries are added by some ingredients of durian fruit.
It used to be a 1980s police headquarter, just a three-minute walk from Jalan Besar metro station. Dishes include whiskey cake, coconut milk pudding, choux au craquelin, cheese mousse, macaron, and tiramisu. Those who are allergic to durian smell can enjoy traditional coffee and pastries. Ms Ling Goh, aged 36, owner of the shop, said that she is growing up in a family with growing durians. Her father runs a well-known durian import and export company in Singapore. In addition, he owns a durian pastry shop, called Durian Mpire By 717 Trading. During childhood, Ling helped her family with chores such as picking up rubber bands on the floor or serving customers with coconuts at her father's cake shop. Then, when going to high school, she worked in the kitchen to produce cakes or sometimes as a cashier. |
