Rice Field viewed from above

If you visit the top of Sam Mountain at noon, at the end of the summer, on the streets of Hong Ngu, Dong Thap down Tinh Bien, An Giang, you will enjoy this view.

Heart-shaped House

Mr Da and Ms Thuy built a heart-shaped house on a river 25 years ago. Their happiness is a peaceful and poetic life. They can't imagine their house create a heart-shaped form when viewed from above and become popular all over the world.

The photo by Alex Cao won Highly Recommended Award in the World Drone Competition, that describes a man leading a herd of buffaloes across his heart-shaped house, leaving muddy traits at the bottom of the river.

Thuy lived in Tinh Khue Commune and Da lived in Tinh Hoa Commune (formerly in Son Tinh District, now emerged to Quang Ngai City). They were only a few kilometers apart. She quitted the school at the 9th grade to sell chickens, helping her family. She is a smart, beautiful girl.

During a wedding party of her friend, she met Da, sitting at the same table and opposite to her. Wearing red velvet pants and a white shirt with long hair is a fashion style at that time. She cheered with Da. From then, Da had fallen in love with her quietly.

Every time, they went out together, Da always wore a long sleeve shirt and put his hands into his trouser pockets. Thuy had not paid attention to it. Later, one of her friend said that one of his hands was amputated since childhood.

Thuy had many boy friends, but they could not end up with a wedding party. Some came from a silver-spoon family while her family was poor. There was no match. Others were not serious about the marriage. Finally, she thought about Da, who could bring to her a true love. Their happy ending love story ended up with a wedding.
