Lao Cai is known for golden rice cascade fields in a crop harvest. Minority ethnic people in this region live on farming and tourism as well.

A log cabin is constructed next to a turning of a street, looking down terrace fields that turn golden in September, It is the time of crop harvest when yellow fields span from above to the foot of a hill.

A log cabin is a kind of business of the minority ethnic groups to earn money. Those wanting to look down fields or taking photos of magnificent scenes pay a fee of 50 cents. Especially, tourists can rent rural traditional wear to put on and work on rice fields to take photos.
