"A Market", a piece of art, is selected to display in e-Magazine



"A Market" by Viet, Tran Tuan is one of the 20 pieces of art that is selected to display in National Geographic (an American magazine). Tuan is a photographer in Vietnam that hits a record of 20 images selected by National Geographic.

A photo features a woman wearing a conic hat ( Vietnam's identity) is selling her fruits among many umbrellas. The market named Chợ Ô has been formed for 100 years in Distritc 4, Ho Chi Minh City. The characteristics of this market is sellers extend umbrellas early in the morning due to scorching sun during a day and dismantle them in late afternoon.

A dorm with Vietnam flags welcomes the victory of Vietnamese Football Team U23


In a U23 AFC Cup Tournament, Vietnamese football team was considered an unqualified team and would be defeated in the first round. However, the team brought to Vietnamese fans a lot of surprises by winning stronger teams from Asia that held everyone spellbound. Vietnamese students congratulated these wins by hanging red flags with a yellow star, Vietnam's flag.

A Rice Field in Sunset



Mark Podrabinek, a Russian photographer, made a tour across Vietnam to realize a collection of photos that depicts the beauty of nature, people he met along his journey. He said he did not spend time selecting scenes, persons as he found everything is worthy of capturing. Corporate Social Responsibility Project on Antichoke




The Shareholder Company Traphaco has implemented a corporate social responsibility approach on planting antichoke in Sapa Province. Antichoke is processed into different kinds of drinks such as tea, refreshing drinks with variou flaovors. The company provides the assistance to farmers in this region by training them how to plant antichoke productively and in a pesticide-free way.

Nowadays, more and more customers pay attention to their health by consuming chemical-free beverages. Antichoke is a health food or drink that stimulates sound sleeping.

The project improves their livelihood, for instance, to help them afford their children's education and live a life full of facilities.

A long-standing bridge U-bein in Myanmar



A wood bridge built since 1850 is a piece of art by Suphakaln Woncompune, one of 40 the most beautiful images of tourism and wins the third prize in the national category (Thailand).

The 11th edition of Sony World Photography Award 2018 has attracted 320,000 work of art of photographic professionals and enthusiasts from over 200 countries all over the world. This prestigious award includes open prizes and national prizes that allocate in each some awards to encourage participants in the country and the diversity of pariticipating pictures.

Sony World Photography Award 2018



The organiser of Sony World Photography Award 2018 has just announced the open and national categories of prizes including breath-taking and unique work of art. The 11th contest attracted the participation of 320,000 pieces of photographic professionals and enthusiasts all over the world.

Duck Farming


An aerial photography always inspires us with unknown world and unique works of art from new brand perspective. Founded in six years ago, Skypixel contest is one of the premium aerial photograph communities with six millions of professionals and enthusiasts. As it is the well-known contest with the total rewards worth $90,000, it draws the attention of people from every corner of the world.

Conic Hats



In a tour in Vietnam, a Dutch tourist Chris Schalkx realized a collection of photos to depict the simplicity of Vietnamese's daily life. These photos were posted on the tourism Instagram snapshot, Britain's Guardian Newspaper. These snapshots captured scenes of a daily life in Hanoi City, Hoi An Ancient Town, Ninh Binh Province, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Turn off the light for Earth Hour



This year, Earth Hour falls on 24 March. At present, the mass media in all cities and towns across Vietnam mobilizes the public to join this campaign by turning off all lights for 60 minutes or more for "a green life".

With a motto "Go more green", the Ministry of Industry has just launched a campaign to raise awareness of the public on the environmental sustainability. It is an event participated by the whole world.

There will be commitments of households, businesses, and organizations to turn off lights to save electric energy. Last year, Vietnam saved 471,000 kwh on Earth Hour.

8 March marks gaps between man and woman minimize.

Gap

Gaps between man and woman are reduced or the equality of their rights increases. It is their continuous struggle for their current stand in the society. The above photo depicts a match between male and female wrestlers that took place in Vietnam. 

A dramatic wrestling match between male and female wrestlers took place 2 March in a festival in Van Tra Village, An Dong Town, An Duong District, Hai Phòng City, Vietnam. Wrestlers Thu, Nguyen Minh challenged to fight a male one who later accepted her words. The rule of this tournament is regardless age, weight and height but requires strength and determination. Winning is wrestling an opponent to touch his/her back on the ground.

As a result, Thu won the match.

Ao Dai (long dress) and conic hat



The collection of Ao Dai and conic hat by designer Ngo Kien Huy that took place in the festival of Ao Dai on the pedestrian street Nguyen Hue attracted the attention of the public due to white long dresses, white paddy bushes and white conic hats.

The goal of this event is to honour Vietnam traditional dress and gracefulness of Vietnamese girl's silhouette. On the white ground of Ao Dai, pigeons that represent the peace are painted in the blue colour that embodies the environment. The message the designer wants to convey is to build a world free of a war.

Tet in the Highlands

An Influx of Worshippers Jostle to Burn Incenses in Thien Truong Temples


On the first days of March (the 15th of January of the lunar calendar), people crowded pack at some temples to pray the best for their loved ones. Around the midnight of the eve, thousands gravitated to some main pagodas across the country. They elbow out of the way to burn a bundle of incense and ask for some ash which deems good luck.

Some temple organised a ceremony of opening royal seal after which people ask for a seal on a paper as a sign of good luck. A phenomenon of crowding at some sacred places created thefts and robberies. Many people had lost their money or personal papers due to religious visits.

The fifth Annual Ao Dai Festival is taking place from 3 to 25 March 2018 in Vietnam to honour the gracefulness of Vietnam traditional dress. The participation in this event includes female school students across Ho Chi Minh City, women unions, actors, and artists clothing long dresses. On 4 March, in a pedestrian street Nguyen Hue, thousands of women in various colour dresses gather in groups to gravitate to the heart of the city.

A True Love Story



A true love story makes a hit on the Facebook between a man with a deformed face due to eye cancer and a girl. The man, named Po, has suffered from the cancer terminal, waiting for the scythe of death. A girl, named Atittaya Chumkeaw, posted her photos and her sweetheart on a social media to celebrate three years of their love that makes netizens admire their true love.

Atittaya calls Po Mr Fat and her love towards Po has never changed even though his face is deformed terribly. In messages on the Facebook, she said she has encouraged and helped him overcome physical pains due to cancer.
