White Canola Flowers in Moc Chau

The year end is time to visit white Canola flower fields extending to horizon in Moc Chau. It's time for young people to do selfie. The below account describes Moc Chau in tourist season when you want to look for serenity away for the hustle and bustle of a city.

White flowers booms

Moc Chau, Son La, takes pride of Canola flowers bloomimg immeasurably on the hills in Chieng Xuan commune, looking from above like a soft white chiffon.

Five or six years ago, white cabbage gardens spread far and wide all the way to the village in Moc Chau, very familiar to backpackers, now it's increasingly difficult to find a place where flowers bloom as far as the eyes can see. The area of white flower hill in Chieng Xuan commune covers nearly 30 km from the center of Moc Chau town, discovered by local young people.

The road to the hill is suitable for off-road vehicles and motorbikes because the road is dirt, steep and bumpy. If you go from National Highway 6 to the direction of Pine Forest - Ban Coc - Chieng Xuan, the road is only about 15 km long but more difficult.

If you follow the direction of Dai Yem waterfall - Chieng Ve farm - Chieng Son border post - Chieng Xuan, the distance is about 30 km long. There is a section under construction; it will take more time for you to travel.

You cannot only enjoy the white cabbage hill but also admire the "roof" of Moc Chau, which is Pha Luong peak with an altitude of nearly 2,000 m, sits between the Vietnam - Laos border.

Currently, Moc Chau has suffered Covid-19 cases, but the accommodation facilities still maintain a safe welcome process. Visitors to Moc Chau should note that they need to ensure that they have had 2 doses of the vaccine and have a negative rapid test.

The canola flowers still bloom until the end of December and this place may not be familiar to many people. Some locals live on this area. Tourists from nearby communes and districts visit to take pictures.

In addition to Chieng Xuan cabbage hill, in the last days of this year, you can check-in the cauliflower season in Pa Phach village, Na Ka valley, Bo Bun village... but with a smaller area.

In December, the epidemic situation was complicated, but accommodation facilities in Moc Chau still maintained a safe welcome process, ensuring 5K implementation. Visitors to Moc Chau should note that they need to have 2 doses of the vaccine and have a negative PRC or rapid test result.
