A group of tourists suffered immediate consequences for ignoring advice to stop taking selfies.
According to Daily Mail, 5 tourists recently suffered terrifying consequences when they deliberately ignored safety warnings while travelling by boat on one of the famous canals in the capital Venice (Italy).
The tourists freely walked around on the narrow boat, posing for photos. The boatmen had to remind them to sit down and avoid walking while the boat was moving under a bridge near St Mark's Square.
However, instead of following the boatman's advice, this group of tourists deliberately ignored it. Just a moment later, the boat overturned, causing everyone to fall into the water.
In videos shared on the TikTok platform, this group of tourists was seen trying to cling to the overturned boat and trying to climb onto another ship passing by. You can clearly see the panic on the faces of these tourists.
According to The New York Post, after the boat capsized, the boatman immediately jumped into the cold water canal to help the tourists. It is unclear how the boatman escaped the boat's capsizing even though he was sitting on it together.
The page "Venezia Non รจ Disneyland (Venice Is Not Disneyland)" on Instagram shared information that, luckily, the group of tourists was safe and was supported with all the "hospitality and warmth" at home.
