The Oldest Railway Station in Indochina in Da Lat

The train runs 5 trips every day.

Established 90 years ago, the train station has made a significant mark in Dalat City. Nowadays, it still runs its business thanks to its unique architecture. Not far from the city centre, just around 5 km away, Dalat train station is a must-visit to get a general view of the dream city.

The Yersin High School is not far from the station on a long, flat hillside. Two French architects, Moncet and Reveron, designed this historical site. They started their masterpiece in 1932 and completed in 1936.

The viewers are impressed with the magnificent facade and three interconnected roof peaks, which represent the three peaks of Langbiang Mountain or the roofs of the Central Highlands communal houses.

In addition to technical aspects appealing to visitors, the train station highlights aesthetic elements in its design. The stained glass windows remind viewers of the architects of European churches.

Initially, the station was part of the Phan Rang—Dalat railway route, which had a total length of 84 km. Without long-term restoration, a 7-km line serves tourism.
