Bamboo bridges in Vietnam
In far remote regions in Vietnam, local authorities do not have enough budget to build concrete bridges.
There are some pitiful accidents caused by bamboo bridges. Many people lose their lives, walking on bridges in torrent rains, floods.
However, it is very important to local people's daily life. Especially, they can carry their goods, packs of paddy.
Two carriers in opposite directions meet on a bridge. It is a difficult situation for themselves to go.
A woman has to leave a pack of vegetable in the middle of a bridge as she can't carry it on her bicycle.
After bringing her bicycle to other end of bridge, she is back to pick up a stack of vegetable.
