Spring Flower Festival in Hanoi, Vietnam

The Lunar New Year roll around again. Everyone is earnest to welcome it. From house to street, every where is renewed, decorated with flowers, trees, sign of year 2016 coming.

Hanoi organises an annual spring flowers fairs in the middle of the capital. Many kinds of flowers with multi-colours are showcased in this event.

This fair will be a big event for everyone in the city on the last day of lunar year 2015. Most people pour out into this fair to enjoy flower fair before going to pagoda to pray the best for theirs loved ones.

It is a tradition for year. It happens in many places across the country. It is a kind of activity, entertainment for families, international tourists who want to learn more about Vietnamese' s culture.

In Hanoi, a small quantity of residents have less awareness of environment protection. This fair is an opportunity for people to take photos with their friends, family members, and relatives.

To take photos, they stamp on flowers, grass to pose. As a consequence, flowers, trees are destroyed, damaged just in the first day of the fair.

Even they pick some flowers to bring home as a lucky item for the first day of the lunar new year. It is a tradition of Vietnamese.

A cherry flower fair was used to organised in Hanoi. After one day, the fair was ceased due to the unawarenes of city residents on environment protection.


It is really a shame!
