One-time Grand Hotel, Saigon
Grand Hotel Saigon used to be a beverage shop in Saigon, Vietnam. Henry Edouard Charigny, who then was an editor-in-chief of a French newspaper, acquired an official licence on October 24, 1930, to establish a Grand Hotel Saigon Company. In 1937, its name changed Saigon Palace.
After 1975, it was restored and renamed its old Grand Hotel. Grand Hotel still retains French construction styles and belongs to Saigontourist Company, a Ho Chi Minh-based giant. It is a mediocre hotel.
