Kontum is home to many ethnic minority groups. These groups have the religion of protestantism. The local government has taken serious control of their freedom of belief.

It is a poor region. People live on cultivation. Most of their products are pepper, coffee, tea. Ethnic minority people are mostly not educated. The local government issues some policies to support these groups in education and expects educated people to take high level position in the local administration.

Tourists find life in Kontum rural, simple and serene. Groups of ethnic minorities are hospital, honous.

Climate is cool. It is boring to stay here for long time as there aren't many entertainments in this province.

These groups built a community house where people have meetings, organise all kind of activities. We also find some of identity symbols of these groups displayed in this house.

This region is well known for coffee. It is a pleasure to sit in a small restaurant to have a coffee in the early morning.
