Northwest is a region of Vietnam, borders China and Laos.
It is home to a lot of ethnic minority people. Lunar new year is time for girls to wear new colorful clothes.

Spring comes in the air in the northwest region of Vietnam. Flowers are in blossom, people are repairing the lunar new year.

The northwest region includes Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La and Hoa Binh provinces. These provinces feature magnificient, imposing scenery, grandiose mountainous landscape.

There are many ways to celebrate the lunar new year. People decorate their houses, do ancestor worshiping. cook traditional food to treat their friends, visitors in three first days of lunar new year.

It is time children like best. They will take a break at school for around 2 weeks. They wear new nice clothes. Stay away from learning for a while is the one they like.

During three fist days of a year, people go to churches, pagodas to pray for peace for their beloved, friends.

After going out for praying the best things, they will visit their parents, siblings, friends. Then lunches or diners are served among relatives, friends.
