Notre Dame Cathedral
Notre Dame Cathedral is located in the downtown of Ho Chi Minh City. Opposite to its main gate is the Metropolitan Building where the Consulate General of Canada and the Consulate General of New Zealand are located. The lefthand side of its gate is city's Post Office. It was built between 1863 and 1880 by the French.
The cathedral's address is No 1, Cong Truong Cong Xa Paris.
Its design shows impressive influence of French civilization and Christianity. All materials were imported from France like red bricks of the outside walls which retain their bright and lively red colour till today.
Huyen Si Church.
Huyen Sy Church is the oldest and second largest Catholic church in Saigon. It was named after Huyen Sy, grandfather of queen Nam Phuong, wife of Vietnam's last king.
It is located in No. 1, Ton That Tung, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. It is built in Gothic style of many European churches.
Tan Dinh Church
Tan Dinh Church was constructed by the French in the early 20th century. It is located in 289 Hai Ba Trung, District 3.
Tan Dinh Church was constructed in 1870 and inaugurated in 1876. Its construction features Gothic style architecture, however, its inner design is Roman and Baroque. The whole church was painted rose and even though it has gone through restoration, it still retains its original and long standing characteristics.
Fatima Church
According to the legend, on the procession of Our Lady of Fatima statue across Vietnam, the vehicle which carried the statue was out of order, a driver and good technicians repaired it and after two hours, it did work. Father Vo Van Bo prayed Our Lady of Fatima for a while and the procession could keep on running. The Fathe pray if Our Lady of Fatima wanted to build a church right here, we would realise your desire. Later, the father seeked for a landlord to purchase a piece of land to build a church.
The church is situated in 58, residental quarter, street No. 5, Thu Duc District.
